The mythology behind our logo icons:

Butterfly – EARTH
A Tiger Swallowtail; a native species that is present from April to September. It is Georgia's official state butterfly. The Tiger swallowtail has complete metamorphosis. It starts as an egg, then to a caterpillar, then encased in a chrysalis to emerge as a butterfly. It can be seen sipping nectar from many types of flowers.

Symbolism: Taking a landscape project from start to finish and enjoying the beauty of a finished product.

Dragonfly – WATER
The blue darter dragonfly is seen in and around many ponds and lakes. They twist, turn, and hover. They also have complete metamorphosis. Starting as a larva, living underwater, and then hatching into a dragonfly. It still lives close to water, dining on insects. Those large compound eyes make it appear "dragon like".

Symbolism: Without water these insects don't survive. Water is the sustenance of life. Without water, no one can survive.

Hummingbird – AIR
The ruby throated hummingbird is the most common type of hummingbird in Georgia. There is no creature that can imitate its behavior. This migratory bird flies over 1500 miles annually. Hard to photograph, this tiniest of birds flies from flower to flower in search of nectar, rarely stopping to rest.

Symbolism: We are always trying to serve our customers to the best of our abilities, and will go above and beyond to accommodate special needs and requests.

The Tiger Swallowtail, Blue Darter Dragonfly and the Ruby Throated Hummingbird are beautiful to see, and showcase some of nature's most beautiful compositions. They are also environmental indicators. Their populations are directly related to current weather and climate change. A loss of any one of these in our habitat would be catastrophic.
